Company L The month of September is approaching and, for students, the search for an apartment in the city of Friborg is intensifying. Becoming independent can be a big step in their life. Apartis, a non-profit foundation headquartered in Fribourg, provides accommodation at attractive rents and accessible to everyone in the city and surrounding areas, and takes care of helping and informing students regarding finding accommodation.

The list of buildings available is vast: Route de la Fonderie, Route du Mont-Carmel, Avenue du Midi, Boulevard de Pérolles and more. The organization allows future tenants to have a room in an apartment without a guarantor, shared accommodation, or solo in a studio. The only economic requirement to sign a contract is to provide a bond. The steps to obtain a room or a studio are standard. Of course, you have to prove your student status.

However, some disadvantages can be off-putting, such as the lack of dishwashers in the apartments, or the shared laundry rooms, whose detergents are chargeable and can represent a large monthly expense depending on the needs and budget of each.

For Naïnice Mendez, 20, the experience was more than enriching and beautiful: “It was by chance that I came across the Apartis Foundation website while researching for a cheap apartment,” she explains. -she. The student was especially challenged by the panoply of apartments available on the territory of Greater Fribourg. The different steps necessary to have a shared room in Marly were very understandable: “The process was rather simple”, admits Naïnice Mendez. “I first asked for the list of available apartments and got an almost immediate response.”

The rooms are all occupied by students: visits and the sharing of information are therefore settled directly between them. A strong point: “This way of working makes it possible to speed up the installation process and to have direct contact with future roommates in order to be as comfortable as possible”, testifies the student.

Added to these advantages is the economic and social commitment of the Apartis Foundation: it offers an information service to its tenants and gives access to good deals, such as food and furniture reduction vouchers. Information very well presented on its website.
