Accidents and road closures in southern Quebec

Accumulations of 5 cm in the Montreal region, a little more in the Laurentians, and snowfall beginning in the Quebec City region complicated travel this morning.

Among other things, Route 50 is closed in both directions near Lachute, between km 258 and 260 due to a truck leaving the road.

In Mirabel, a lane is blocked on Route 50 westbound just before Route 15, due to a truck hitting the road.

On Highway 20 eastbound, following the Galipeault Bridge, at exit 39, one lane is cut off due to loss of control of a semi-trailer truck.

Snow began to fall around 8:00 a.m. in the Quebec region, and Transports Quebec reported a few road trips. Caution and patience are required for the whole morning around Montreal, in Montérégie and in Estrie.
