According to the police, the woman hit a 43-year-old compatriot who she did not know from behind on the Langwied descent around 10:30 a.m. and both fell. Resuscitation measures came too late and the emergency doctor could only determine that the 39-year-old was dead. The 43-year-old was injured and the exact cause of the accident is being investigated.

A 55-year-old holidaymaker from Germany was injured in another accident in Obertauern (St. Johann im Pongau district). The woman from the Harburg district was on the Hochalmbahn slope when a snowboarder ran over her skis. The 55-year-old fell and the snowboarder drove away without paying any attention to her. The German was taken by rescue to the valley for further medical treatment.
