One Apple Watch with the resource Accident Detection activated caused the police to take the field following a fatal accident in the United States. The case happened in the US state of Ohio and resulted in one death and one injured, according to local broadcaster WBNS-TV.
According to the information, the police were unable to locate the vehicle at first and had to call a team specializing in drone operation to assist them in the search.
With technology, they managed to find the vehicle – whose driver probably lost control at the wheel – lying upside down in a creek inside a canyon.
One of the car’s occupants (a Chevy Spark) was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was taken in serious condition to the Grant Medical Center, a famous hospital located in Columbus, capital of Ohio.
The incident is still under investigation and local police are looking for more detailed information to unravel what motivated the accident.
