We have already shown, here in MacMagazineas Apple natively provides a function to apply color filters on iPhone/iPad and Apple TV. This is ideal for those who are carriers and color blindness, protanopia or tritanopiafor example.

It turns out that there are third-party applications that offer functions similar to this. One of these cases is that of Facebook Messenger, from Meta. Through the offered option, the color of the online status dot, timestamps and circles around profile photos will be changed.

See how to do it! ????

With the Messenger app open on your iPhone/iPad, tap the three little lines (in the top left corner) and the gear (at the top). Then, select “Accessibility” and “Color filter”.

You will be able to choose between one of the four options offered:

No filter (true color) Blue/yellow (tritanopia) Red/green (weak red, protanopia) Green/red (weak green, deuteranopia)

At the top, you can still see a preview of the colors for each of the options.
