A charter of good practices and psychiatry/social collaboration has just been signed in the Rhône to improve access to psychiatric care for vulnerable people in precarious situations.
After more than two years of work, the three psychiatric hospitals in the Rhône (the Le Vinatier, Saint-Jean-de-Dieu and Saint-Cyr-au-Mont d’Or hospital centers) and more than 20 associative actors in the psychiatric sector housing people in precarious situations and asylum seekers, signed on April 24* a charter of good practices for psychiatry/social collaboration. This is an unprecedented step in partnership and the decompartmentalization of practices for the benefit of access to care and the recovery of people.
This charter thus lays down the main principles of articulation between professionals in the two sectors. In particular, it will help to avoid disruptions in both accommodation and care, thanks to better anticipation and coordination of professionals.. It should more broadly contribute to improving practices and communication by relying on shared secrecy and the establishment of referents in each sector, so that professionals gain both time and quality in decision-making. and support. Thus, by respecting and promoting the areas of expertise of each actor involved in this framework, this charter aims to promote a common culture and language for the benefit of the people supported and professionals.
The establishment of this charter also makes it possible to strengthen a common working dynamic initiated in recent months. New projects have already been launched, and a specific liaison sheet between the social sector and that of psychiatry is being finalized in order to make the commitments of the charter operational. Furthermore, the rules relating to access and the care pathway for homeless people (known as sectorization rules) have also been the subject of a first modification for the benefit of housed people so that they can access care at home. closer to where they live; the work will continue this year for the benefit of people in unstable living and housing situations.
