TO accelerate the growth of the creative and technological sector in the city of Bandung, the Ministry of Manpower inaugurated three buildings under the auspices of the Bandung Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BBPVP), West Java. The three buildings are the Digital Creative Workshop (WDC), Social Living Park, and P2 BBPVP Bandung Certification Institute Building.
These three buildings were inaugurated directly by the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah, Tuesday (5/2/2024).
“The existence of several new facilities is a proactive step for BBPVP Bandung in building Bandung’s potential towards becoming a Metropolitan City and accelerating the growth of the creative and technological sectors in the City of Bandung,” said Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah via a Press Release from the Ministry of Manpower’s Public Relations Bureau, Thursday (7/3/2024) .
Minister of Manpower Ida emphasized that the WDC building is a form of the Government’s (BBPVP Bandung) response to the needs of young people in Bandung and its surroundings.
“They are all digitally literate, their skills and competencies must be prepared to answer the needs of the job market according to RI 4.0. Moreover, Bandung is famous for its creative economy industry and BBPVP must be able to answer those needs,” he said.
Minister of Manpower Ida added that while touring the workshop at BBPVP Bandung, there was also training in photography, creative content, graphic design, and others, which are of great interest to the millennial generation.
“Thank you BBPVP Bandung for opening opportunities for young talents in Bandung and surrounding areas to continue building a creative future,” he said.
What is a Creative Digital Workshop (WDC)?
WDC is a means of introducing young people to the latest techniques and tools used in the creative industries. From exploring the latest software applications to experimenting with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
By knowing the latest tools and techniques, participants can push creative boundaries and create innovative and impactful work. Through WDC, it is hoped that new talents will grow in the current creative industry. (RO/S-1)
