The academic Carmen Pérez Riquelme, from the School of Administration and Business of the University of Concepción, Chillán Campus, joined as advisor to the Civil Society Commission of the Commission (COSOC) for the Financial Market (CMF), meeting on the 11th April in this new role, in a meeting chaired by Commissioner Bernardita Piedrabuena, commissioner and current vice president of the CMF.

The COSOC is a consultative body, made up in a diverse, representative and pluralistic manner by representatives of non-profit associations, related to the policies, services, programs or plans executed by the CMF. The University of Concepción, through the EAN, is the only regional study house that is representative in this instance.

At the meeting, the main milestones of the CMF’s public account were shared, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Carmen Pérez highlighted that “the link with the CMF opens up a wide potential for not only training instances, but also research opportunities for our academic unit. It is satisfactory to have been invited to participate and, at the same time, it is a recognition of the permanent relationship that the EAN has maintained with this organization.”

For her part, Claudia Troncoso Andersen, director of the EAN, expressed her pleasure at having a representative of the School in the COSOC. “The development and proper functioning of the financial system is relevant to the economic growth and well-being of people, therefore, we value being able to contribute to the work of the CMF through the participation of Professor Carmen Gloria Pérez in the Commission,” she expressed.
