AC Milan wins against Real Madrid still without Mbappé (Football)

AC Milan secured a prestigious victory over Real Madrid on Wednesday night (1-0) in Chicago, thanks to a goal from Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze. A result “not important in a friendly match” according to Paulo Fonseca, new coach of the Rossoneri, “but which allows the players to believe in the process” on which they are working.

Arda Güler shows up, Endrick more discreet

For this match, the Portuguese tactician once again trusted Samuel Chukwueze and Alexis Saelemaekers on the wings, who had already performed well in the previous match against Manchester City. A choice that paid off since the former Villarreal winger scored the only goal of the match (55th), on a great opening from the young Mattia Liberali (17 years old). The attacking midfielder also came close to doubling the lead four minutes later, his shot going just over the bar.

For his part, Carlo Ancelotti lined up the starting 11 at his disposal for his team’s first warm-up match. We were able to observe an attacking line made up of Brahim Diaz as well as the great hopes, Endrick and Arda Güler. If the former did not really have the opportunity to show himself, except for a shot in an offside position in the first half, the latter stood out with a beautiful 30-meter shot well caught by Torriani (16th). Note that Kylian Mbappé was not present, since he is not part of the group that took off for the United States.

Both teams will face FC Barcelona for their next friendly match. It will be on the night of August 4th in a clash that is always special for Real Madrid, while AC Milan will wait until August 8th to face the Blaugranas.
