NAPOLI strengthened their position at the top of the Serie A standings after winning 2-0 when they visited AC Milan’s headquarters, San Siro Stadium, Wednesday (30/10) early morning WIB.
Il Partenopei took the lead after only 5 minutes of the match through a goal from Ronelu Lukaku who used Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa’s pass.
Napoli doubled their lead two minutes before the break through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s goal.
The 2-0 score for Napoli’s lead over AC Milan lasted until the break.
In the second half, AC Milan managed to break through Napoli’s goal through Alvaro Morata’s action in the 47th minute but the goal was disallowed by VAR for offside.
Until the end of the match, no goals were scored so Napoli managed to get full points against AC Milan.
For the Rossoneri, the defeat against Napoli was their third defeat in Serie A this season.
The victory over AC Milan meant that Napoli strengthened their position at the top of the Serie A standings with 25 points from ten matches.
Napoli is seven points ahead of second place Inter Milan, who will play their tenth week of Serie A at Empoli headquarters on Thursday (31/10) early morning WIB.
Meanwhile, AC Milan is stuck in eighth place in the standings after winning 14 points from nine matches.
