Abuja: A priest who was abducted by gunmen from St. Paul Bomo Parish in Jos Archdiocese has been released in north-central Nigeria. A member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI), Fr. Marcellus Naohuocha was released. On June 17, the assailants abducted the priest from his residence.
The priest was released by the gang the other day following brutal beatings. Fr. OMI monastic community authority Fr. Peter Claver revealed. The motive behind the abduction remains unknown.
