Abu Dhabi – The President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has ordered the establishment of the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC) as part of making Abu Dhabi a world-class center in the fields of artificial intelligence and advanced technology. The Council will implement policies and strategies related to research, infrastructure development and investment.
Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, was appointed as the Chairman of the Council, and Sheikh Khalid Bin Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council, was appointed as the Vice Chairman. Other members are Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Jasem Mohammed Bu Ataba Al Sabie, Faisal Abdul Aziz Al Bannai and Peng Xiao. The Council will implement projects and research programs in collaboration with regional and global partners. Investment will also attract global talent into this sector.
