Abu Dhabi World Judo Championships: National Team Announcement and World Kata Championship

ABU DHABI, 18th October, 2018 (WAM) – The Judo Federation, headed by His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Darei, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Abu Dhabi World Championships, has approved the list of the national team to participate in the World Kata Championship scheduled for the 28th and 29th of October at the Sorbonne University Hall.

The three Abu Dhabi World Judo Championships will kick off next Tuesday under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with the participation of 1,730 male and female players representing more than 100 countries, and which are organized by the Judo Federation, under the supervision of the International Federation, and with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
The UAE is represented in the World Kata Championship by Mohammed Al Shaali and Ali Abdul Salam Al Marri.
His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaloub Al-Darai praised the continuous cooperation from the Sorbonne University administration in various sports and service fields, wishing success to the teams participating in the tournament, and to the UAE national team in its first international representation, with the aim of interacting and gaining experience with the participating international teams.
