Abu Dhabi hosts the Junior Mixed Martial Arts Championship

Next Saturday, the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi will host the events of the Junior Mixed Martial Arts Championship, as part of the tireless efforts of the Jujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation to give the new generations of fans of this sport the opportunity to gain confidence, motivation and experience.
The tournament will be held on the sidelines of the 33rd international edition of the Emirates Warriors Mixed Martial Arts Championship. 20 players will compete in 10 fights in the same cage, which will host on the same day the activities of the international version of the “Emirates Warriors”. The junior championship is held in cooperation between the Jujitsu Federation and Mixed Martial Arts and the Emirates Warriors.
The participants were divided into fights according to weights and the three age stages, which are from 12 to 13 years for category “C”, from 14 to 15 years for category “B”, and from 16 to 17 years old for category “A”.
Mohammed bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, member of the Board of Directors of the Jujitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, said that the idea of ​​holding this championship for young people came following the great enthusiasm and the outstanding results witnessed by the World Championship of Mixed Martial Arts for Juniors, which was recently hosted by Abu Dhabi at the Ju-Jitsu Arena in Zayed Sports City. .
He pointed out that Abdel Moneim Al-Hashemi, President of the Federation, gave directions during the World Championship to the necessity of holding several championships for juniors and amateurs in order to continue supporting the advancement of this modern sport and placing it in an advanced position among combat sports. The same cage next Saturday to give the junior participants a good opportunity to gain self-confidence, and learn regarding the atmosphere of the professional tournaments, so that this will motivate them in the next fights in the future.
He pointed out that the junior championship fights will witness a strong participation of the players who participated in the last edition of the World Championships in Abu Dhabi last August, and that one of the two sides of the main fight in the championship will be Jassim Al Hosani, the world champion. He added that the refereeing in this tournament will depend on a group of referees who have been extensively qualified in the past tournaments.
