The Abu Dhabi Group for Culture and Arts cooperates with a number of prominent artistic institutions in the Republic of Korea, to exchange experiences and knowledge.

She added: “The second dialogue symposium entitled “The Frame Body” was held with the participation of experts from the “Art Sungji” Center in Korea and the Emirati artist Nujoom Al-Ghanem, to provide spaces for joint human dialogue regarding the creative system and the arts in exhibitions, performances and filmmaking, in an effort to consolidate bilateral relations and stimulate efforts. The first symposium was held on Thursday, and across a wide range of creative ideas and visions, the speakers moved between the experience of the late Korean-American musician Nam June Paik, to the supporters and catalysts of the arts renaissance in Korea in both the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and the Hyundai company, all the way to advanced work. The second symposium, on Saturday, at the Abu Dhabi Art Exhibition, brought together viewpoints from the Emirates and South Korea on performance in art halls and galleries, as well as in films.

Sunjong Kim, Artistic Director of Art Sunji, and Ji-Yeon Moon, Project Manager at the Center, highlighted their institutional experiences from South Korea, focusing on scenarios of humanitarian and non-humanitarian performance and environmental thinking. Poet and director Nujoom Al-Ghanem participated in the symposium, whose most recent cinematic works add environmental narratives to the body, taking into account the personality of the artist, the immigrant, and the actor.
