The Abu Dhabi Competitiveness Office, affiliated to the Department of Economic Development – Abu Dhabi, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Prototype Interactive, a company specialized in digital transformation, to support inventors in transforming their ideas into digital innovations and applications that contribute to supporting smart and sustainable economic development.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the inventors will be able to benefit from the facilities, facilities and workshops organized by Prototype to gain knowledge and experience, receive professional training, and help design, build and develop digital and electronic applications. In addition, inventors, supported by the Takamul program launched by the Abu Dhabi Economic Department to support inventors, can use technologies and technological solutions in the facilities of Prototype Company to develop their ideas, benefit from the consultations of experts working in the company and the methods used to evaluate digital strategies, and participate in workshops organized by the company regarding the development of Models for digital transformation.
Hala Al-Amiri, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Competitiveness Office, said that the signing of the memorandum is in line with the Abu Dhabi Innovates System, which was launched by the Department of Economic Development last May, which places talents, knowledge, spaces and places among the main axes for developing and improving the innovation environment. Our efforts continue to work with the appropriate partners to develop the capabilities of inventors and innovators and to ensure the provision of an appropriate environment, including the places and equipment necessary for the development of innovations and inventions.
Since its launch in 2011, the Takamul program has seen an increase in the number of participating inventors, as well as the number of patents. Since its establishment until the end of October of this year, the program has evaluated 1013 patent support applications, and 377 applications that meet the conditions for patent registration were approved.
Takamul program works to disseminate knowledge regarding the various aspects of innovation.
