Abu Dhabi Chamber discusses cooperation with a UN delegation in Afghanistan

Mohammed Hilal Al Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Abdullah Al Dardari, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation discussed the possibilities of enhancing economic cooperation with the business and trade environment in Afghanistan, developing exchanges and stimulating communication between men, investors and business owners in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Afghanistan. The meeting, which was held at the Chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi, was attended by Hilal Mohammed Al Hamli, Deputy Director General of the Chamber. Mohammed Hilal Al Muhairi stressed that the Abu Dhabi Chamber is fully prepared to provide all available services and capabilities to push forward the areas of economic cooperation with Afghanistan, due to the strong and good relations between the UAE and the Republic of Afghanistan, pointing to the Chamber’s commitment to encouraging such friendly meetings aimed at discussing mechanisms Effective to enhance cooperation to serve interests and enhance common areas of work. For his part, Abdullah Al-Dardari praised the prominent role of the Abu Dhabi Chamber in supporting the business environment in Abu Dhabi, expressing his aspiration to intensify the desired areas of cooperation with the business environment in Afghanistan and to create opportunities for business partnerships of public benefit and interest. The visiting delegation also reviewed the areas of cooperation and efforts made by the United Nations Development Program and its partner United Nations agencies, to support the urgent basic humanitarian needs of the Afghan population.
