Abu Dhabi and Dubai are the most livable cities

Abu Dhabi and Dubai have been selected as the most livable cities in the Middle East and North Africa. This is the fifth consecutive time this achievement has been achieved. Residential cities were selected in a global survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit. The survey covered 173 cities. The survey focused on sustainability, culture, environment, education, infrastructure and healthcare.

According to the global rankings, Abu Dhabi is ranked 77th and Dubai 79th. The Austrian capital, Vienna, tops the list. In 2021, Vienna was ranked 12th on the list. Vienna’s setback in 2021 was the closure of museums and restaurants due to the Kovid expansion. In 2018 and 2019, Vienna topped the list. Most of the top ten cities in the list are occupied by European cities.

Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands are the six European countries that make up the list of six habitable cities. Damascus in Syria is the least populous city. Damascus’ poor performance was due to the effects of the civil war.
