Jakarta – The wedding of Tariq Halilintar and Aaliyah Massaid attracted attention as it was attended by Indonesia’s number one person, Jokowi. Jokowi was accompanied by his wife, Iriana.
The Indonesian President served as a witness at the wedding of Thariq Halilintar and Aaliyah Massaid. Atta Halilintar expressed his happiness that Jokowi could be present at the event.
“I am personally thankful to everyone who has prayed. This is a special day for Thariq and Aal. I personally pray that Thariq will be a good leader and Aaliyah will be a good wife. I thank the president. He has always supported my sister’s wedding. It seems like my younger siblings also hope to have you visit them in the future. (Whose request?) That will be coordinated later, whose request,” said Atta Halilintar when interviewed at the Raffles Hotel, South Jakarta, on Friday (7/26/2024).
When asked about the gift he gave to his younger brother, Atta Halilintar could not reveal it yet. He emphasized that he never played matchmaker for Thariq.
“(What gift?) There is one, it’s still wrapped. No one has ever been matched with me. From the beginning, I told Thoriq that I would support him. The decision is in his hands, and until now, it has been their journey together. I can’t control someone’s match. Ultimately, it’s up to the individual,” Atta Halilintar continued.
Thariq Halilinta also expressed his gratitude to Jokowi and Iriana for attending his wedding.
“I am extremely grateful that Mr. Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana were able to attend this wedding. Thank you very much for coming,” Thariq Halilintar explained.
Thariq Halilintar married Aaliyah Massaid on Friday, July 26, 2024. The wedding was attended by both families. The dowry for the wedding amounted to Rp 26,072,024.
“It doesn’t have any special meaning, it’s just the same as today’s date. When she (Aaliyah) was asked what she wanted as a dowry and bride price, she was unsure about her answer,” explained Thariq Halilintar.
