About fifty travelers had to spend the night from Friday to Saturday on a Thalys train in Paris. The last Paris-Brussels Thalys was canceled on Friday evening, so another solution had to be found for the more than 400 passengers.
“Some were able to return home, others stayed at the hotel, but no solution was found for around fifty travelers“said a spokeswoman for Thalys on Saturday followingnoon.An empty train was then made available to them to spend the night there.“.
Earlier in the day, the Thalys had been diverted due to a personal accident, an event which obviously caused delays. The works having started Friday evening on the Belgian network, the last Thalys, which was to leave for Brussels with delay, was no longer authorized to start.
