About $712.6 billion … the value of new bonds issued in the Chinese market last January
BEIJING, March 6, 2022 (Xinhua) China’s bond issuance totaled 4.51 trillion yuan (regarding 712.6 billion US dollars) last January, according to data from the central bank.
Data show that the issuance of treasury bonds amounted to 466 billion yuan, while the issuance of local government bonds amounted to 698.86 billion yuan.
In January, the issuance of financial bonds reached 797.1 billion yuan, while the issuance of corporate bonds reached 1.33 trillion yuan. The volume of issuance of asset-backed securities reached 25.94 billion yuan, and the value of issuing certificates of deposit between banks reached 1.13 trillion yuan.
By the end of January, the value of outstanding bonds held had reached 134.8 trillion yuan, according to the data.
