Abahah ∙ Airport is coming up in Saudi using advanced technologies. A new international airport is being built in Abaha with a modern design. The new airport will be built with an architectural identity that matches the heritage of the Azir region. The master plan for the airport was released by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The terminal will have an area of 65,000 square meters. The current Abaha airport terminal has an area of 10,500 square meters.

The new airport will have aerobridges, self-service devices and counters to enable passengers to easily complete their travel arrangements, parking facilities capable of parking several vehicles and other facilities. The first phase of the project is targeted to be completed by 2028. The new airport will have the capacity to handle 1.3 crore passengers annually. The present airport has an annual capacity of 15 lakh passengers. The new one is being built with ten times the capacity of the current one.

There will be 20 gates, 41 counters and seven self-service platforms to complete passenger procedures.
