Abdullah Bou Habib: Hezbollah is ready to withdraw beyond the Litani if Israel stops its violations

Abdullah Bou Habib added in press statements reported by Lebanese media that Israel should think carefully before launching a strike against Lebanon.

The caretaker Foreign Minister explained that the damage would affect Israel and the region if war broke out, and it is not in the interest of Tel Aviv and Lebanon for a large-scale war to break out between the two parties, according to what was reported by the Lebanese website “Al-Nashra.”

He stressed that the Lebanese factions will stand by the state and defend Lebanon.

He indicated in his statements that Washington is against escalation while continuing its military support for Israel, stressing that any war on Lebanon is a war on all Lebanese.

Earlier, Bou Habib warned that any major Israeli attack would lead to a regional war, following the killing of 12 people when a rocket fell in the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, which Tel Aviv accused Hezbollah of launching.

The town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Golan Heights buried the bodies of 12 children who were killed on Saturday when a rocket fell on a football field.

While Israel accused the Lebanese factions of being responsible for the incident and vowed to respond, the Lebanese factions confirmed that they had nothing to do with the bombing that targeted Majdal Shams in the occupied Golan Heights and denied responsibility for the incident.

Following the incident, Tel Aviv vowed a harsh response to the attack, while several ministers in Netanyahu’s government called for an attack on Lebanese factions and Lebanon.
