Abdeljalil Lahjomri received an honorary doctorate from General Lansana Conté University.

The Permanent Secretary of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco, Abdeljalil Lahjomri, was elevated to the rank of Doctor Honoris Causa of the General Lansana Conté University of Sonfonia in Guinea, on the sidelines of the 14th edition of the “72 hours of the book of Conakry”, of which Morocco is the Alex Reed of honour.

Regarding the theme chosen for this edition, namely “Protection of heritage and social peace”, Abdeljalil Lahjomri highlighted the importance of strengthening social peace in order to promote the “propagation” of knowledge between different countries. .

While expressing his gratitude to Guinea and the University General Lansana Conté de Sonfonia for having raised him to this rank, the permanent secretary of the ARM mentioned the idea of ​​a meeting between the universities Guinean and Moroccan, to try from Africa, to destroy the stereotypes that are currently developing around the world regarding this Continent.

Speaking on behalf of the Guinean Ministry of Higher Education, Thierno Hamidou Bah, for his part, argued that this prize was awarded “to this eminent professor whom we have all had the honor and the privilege of listening to , which led us to reflect on the meaning of culture and interculturality between two peoples”.

“As you know, Dr Diaka Sidibé, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation spent many years in the Kingdom of Morocco. So, it is an honor for our two countries to participate in this important event within one of the great institutions of the country”, he testified.

For his part, the Rector of the General Lansana Conté University of Sonfonia, Pr Manga Keita, recalled Guinea’s attachment to Morocco, and the strong ties that unite the two countries.

On the same occasion, the name of Abdeljalil Lahjomri was attributed to a room of the Groupe Scolaire Sansy Kaba Diakité, a general education establishment (Kindergarten-Primary-College-High School) in Guinea, during an activity organized Thursday in the presence of the Permanent Secretary of the Academy of the Kingdom.

As a reminder, General Lansana Conté University was created in 2005 under the name University of Human, Legal and Economic Sciences of Sonfonia-Conakry. It was then renamed following the 2nd President of the Republic of Guinea, Lansana Conté, on January 14, 2006. Composed of four faculties, it also has two doctoral schools and several master’s courses.
