Abdel Samad Al-Zalzouli is on Milan’s radar

Italy – The Spanish newspaper “AS” confirmed that the Italian club Milan is interested in contracting with Moroccan Abdel Samad Zalzouli, the Spanish winger of Real Betis, in the upcoming summer transfer period.

Al-Zalzouli moved to Betis in the Mercato last summer, coming from Barcelona, for 7.5 million euros, with a contract extending until the summer of 2028.

Barcelona reserves the priority option to purchase, in addition to 50% of the rights to sell the player in the future.

According to the newspaper, Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez did not want the talented winger to leave the team, but the player decided to leave, convinced of the Betis project, but he did not have the space and number of minutes he had imagined in the Andalusian club.

The report explained that, given Al-Zalzouli’s current situation, it is inevitable that Betis will listen to the offers presented to him in the summer, as Milan stands out, which has shown interest in the Moroccan international player in the past months.

The newspaper added that Betis will need to sell Zalzouli for at least 15 million euros in order to avoid the financial loss resulting from contracting with the player, as Barcelona keeps half of the amount for which the player will be sold in the future.

The newspaper added that uncertainty surrounds Milan’s project next season, but the Italians’ success in successfully relaunching the careers of a number of young players, such as Ibrahim Diaz and Theo Hernandez, may mean a new opportunity for Al-Zalzouli.

Zalzouli played a total of 1,453 minutes with Betis this season, starting only 5 matches in the Spanish League, and was able to score 5 goals in various competitions.
