The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the interim Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, has announced the selection of Dr. Amr Qandil to lead the preventive medicine division.
This appointment follows the tenure of Dr. Alaa Eid, whose term extended for almost three years beyond the typical retirement age.
Dr. Amr Kandil previously held this crucial position before Dr. Alaa Eid. His prior leadership encompassed several significant health crises, including outbreaks of swine flu, avian influenza, and Ebola.
