Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Acting Minister of Health and Population, issued a decision appointing Dr. Amr Qandil as head of the preventive medicine sector.
This comes in succession to Dr. Alaa Eid, who has been renewed for nearly 3 years, above the retirement age.
It is worth noting that Dr. Amr Kandil was head of the preventive medicine sector before Dr. Alaa Eid, when he witnessed several pandemics during his tenure as head of the preventive medicine sector during the previous period, including swine flu, birds and Ebola.
