Syrian actor Abbas Al-Nouri once once more criticized the reality of freedoms in the Arab countries, on the sidelines of the “Cultural Industries” symposium held at Qaboos University in the Omani capital, Muscat, where he is currently there to honor him within the “Cinemaana” festival.
Al-Nouri said in his speech: “For something to be sustainable in development, it must be seriously explored, because a culture without freedom without flexibility cannot leave an impact at all, and a culture that is presented with stifled sponsorships, which cannot give the mind any respect, presents taboos, presents slogans, General words, such as what we read in newspapers, right and left, follow all our Arab governments, but to present the culture and boldness of our reality (..) the difficult word that we say whispered in our homes, we must say it publicly on the screen, and without any prohibition or taboo, it is easy to see the impact of sustainable development.”
