Abasto Norte Employment Expo generated more than 300 job interviews

Asuncion, IP Agency.- More than 300 job seekers participated in the first Abasto Norte Employment Expo in the city of Limpio, to fill 208 vacancies made available by 11 companies, in alliance with the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security.

The positions offered included salespeople, butchers, drivers, bakers, cooks, cleaners, production workers, shop managers, occupational health and safety (OHS) assistants, waiters, call centre staff, gondoliers, customer service, promoters and stockers.

Belén Cabrera, representative of La Vienasa, expressed her satisfaction with the applicants who submitted their application. “We are looking for people in the gastronomy area, both with experience and for their first job. We are legal companies that work for the growth of the country and we collaborate with the Ministry of Labor in this objective,” she declared.

Victoria Báez, a 21-year-old from Limpio, applied for the positions of stock clerk and cashier. “I have work experience and I feel positive after the interview,” she said at the end.

For her part, Élida Giménez, also from Limpio, who applied for the position of promoter and stocker, shared: “I am looking for my first job. I want to get a job that fits my schedule as a student and that allows me to earn a salary. I invite others to apply, since there are companies looking for people. It is important to take the initiative.”

Maximiliano Martínez, another candidate who opted for the positions of stock clerk and cashier, commented: “I found out about the Expo through social media. I am looking to improve my work situation, train more professionally and find a formal job. I encourage everyone to come and look for a formal job,” he said.

All vacancies were previously published on the Mtess EmpleaPY platform, where more than 1,200 job seekers applied, increasing the number of candidates that can be selected by companies.

The event is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Labor to promote job placement and improve the quality of life of citizens, connecting them with formal employment opportunities in recognized companies in the country, reported the Ministry of Labor.
