Exactly one year has passed since the announcement Abandoned, but what then, what is now almost nothing is known regarding her. The biggest thing that was shown in the game was a teaser with some kind of forest, which, however, did not prevent the players from inflating the intrigue around this.
Many began to compare the game to PT, suggesting that Abandoned might actually be Hideo Kojima, recalling his viral marketing methods to get attention for his projects, as was the case with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Silent Hills, which were technically announced as if from new developers, but later it turned out that all this was the work of Kojima.
However, the head of Blue Box Game Studios and creator of Abandoned Hassan Kahraman has repeatedly denied his relationship with a famous Japanese, and recently gave an interview to the Sacred Symbols podcast and spoke regarding the creation of the game. Kahraman also shared the first plot details.
According to him, the plot of Abandoned revolves around a man named Jason Longfield, who is the cult leader’s younger brother, separated from him as a child. In doing so, he will not be alone in his story, as he will meet companions along the way, but ultimately he will have to deal with the reluctance to join his brother.
In a way, it sounds like Luke Skywalker’s dilemma in Return of the Jedi, where he had to decide if he wanted to join his father on the dark side.
Abandoned does not currently have a release date. Recently, there have been rumors on the network that the game might have been canceled, but the developer insists that the project is alive. Blue Box Game Studios is currently preparing to release a paid prologue to help complete funding for the main game.
