“Kick-ass” actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be the new James Bond.

A source told The Sun.

– The role of Bond is Aaron’s if he wants it, says the informant.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson33, has been offered to take over the role of James Bond, reports The Sun.

A source tells the paper that an official announcement will be made soon.

– The role of Bond is Aaron’s if he wants. The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting for a response. As for Eon Productions (the production company behind the films, eds note), Aaron will sign his contract in the coming days and they can start preparing for the big announcement.

If Johnson accepts the offer, he will become the seventh actor to portray James Bond.

He will then take over after Daniel Craig, 56, who is the latest to do the role. Craig has appeared in five Bond films.

The audience wants Idris Elba

The competition to land the coveted role was not small.

The stars Cillian Murphy47, Idris Elba51, James Norton38 and Henry Cavill, 40, should also have been interesting for the role. The Daily Mail writes that a survey shows that Idris Elba is the crowd favorite.

Cryptic response by Johnson

When Johnson was asked last week if he could see himself playing James Bond, the answer was cryptic.

– I think it’s charming and wonderful that people see me in that role. I take that as a great compliment, the actor replied.

Aaron Taylor Johnson is best known for the films “Nocturnal animals”, “Kick-ass”, Nowhere boy” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron”.
