Aaron Boone’s Ejection Drama and Yankees’ Loss to White Sox: Recap and Highlights

Aaron Boone was once once more able to attract the remonstrances of the officials and Monday evening, he gave a show before being sent to the locker room.

The New York Yankees manager was ejected for the sixth time this season in a 5-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox.

The incident occurred early in the eighth inning. Anthony Volpe was struck out by Bryan Shaw on a pitch that the Yankees hitter didn’t like. Boone then came out of the dugout to deliver his thoughts to official Laz Diaz.

The scene did not end there. The Yankees manager approached home plate, drawing a line with his foot to show that the ball had passed outside the strike zone. He then mimicked the official as if in turn confirming a third strike for the out. He continued to argue with officials followingwards before quitting.

During that game, Gerrit Cole was responsible for four White Sox runs in seven innings of work. Andrew Vaughn notably hit his 15th homer of the season.

For the Chicago team, Dylan Cease only allowed one hit and shut out the Yankees in five and a third innings despite walking seven times.
