She is confident that this time she might win, as the singer revealed in an interview with 20 minutes.
It’s done: Tina Umbricht is in the top ten of this year’s season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. On Saturday evening, the Swiss, along with nine other singers, made it into the DSDS live shows.
Twelve candidates fought for the top ten in the latest episode of the talent show. Juror Florian Silbereisen (40) announced the final set and the songs right at the beginning: Everyone will sing solo. Before the last performances started in the idyll of the amphitheater in Lecce (Italy), the singers had to undergo a makeover. Four of the participants were also allowed to call their loved ones at home – then it started.
The jury of Toby Gad, Ilse DeLange (44) and Florian Silbereisen sat down with the twelve talents one last time to share private moments and prepare for the show. Then the last international recall started and the top ten were chosen. With her performance of “Runaway Baby” by Bruno Mars, Tina made it into the next round.
“I finally want to get the win!”
Already in 2015, the Aargau woman dared to face the DSDS jury. At that time she only made it into the last 25. “I was 16 years old then, a child. I just took part to be there. Today I know that there is much more at stake. My future can depend on a good performance, »said the 23-year-old recently to 20 minutes. And further: “Now I finally want to win! I’ve dreamed of being able to make a living from music my whole life.”
The Swiss estimates her chances of winning as very high. “I give everything to deliver, so I see my chances on a scale of one to ten clearly at the top of the ten,” said the former radio presenter. With her entry into the live shows, she can now look forward to the final with renewed confidence.
This year’s season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” can be seen on RTL every Saturday at 8:15 p.m.
