It also affects LigeHer.nu’s seven local newspapers, which are published under the same name. From now on, the 75,000 newspapers that are distributed free of charge to households in the Aalborg area will be part of the family when they change their name to LigeHer.nu Aalborg.
The merger takes place with effect from 3 September 2024.
Digitally on ligeher.nu, you will still be able to choose to see local news from the area(s) you are interested in – now Aalborg is just an integral part of the options.
Under the slogan “News from the neighborhood”, the ambition for LigeHer.nu is to continue to be part of the local community with a focus on the life of the city and the people of the city. We do this by delivering free news that both informs and inspires the whole of North Jutland with local journalism – from Skagen to Hobro.
Although the name changes, LigeHer.nu Aalborg will continue to have a full focus on Aalborg as the capital of North Jutland. Where are you going to go? What can you experience and what did you miss? Concerts and events, new businesses and initiatives, cafes and restaurants. And not least stories about the people you meet in the city.
In this way, LigeHer.nu also complements North Jutland, which continues with North Jutland as its starting point and raison d’être, daily striving to update the people of North Jutland with the most important news relevant to the entire region.
This means strong regional and local coverage of societal topics such as politics, crime, urban and rural development, health, education and nature. We are very close to the North Jutland business community, while at the same time our ambition in North Jutland is to facilitate the good North Jutland debate. All this is complemented by a focus on North Jutland sport and stories about the life of the people of North Jutland in the immediate area.
In Nordjutland, we will approach these areas of strength constructively and critically. And preferably with perspective, so that our content is relevant for the whole of North Jutland.
While in North Jutland we deal with topics and news that are relevant and of interest to all North Jutland residents, we at ligeher.nu have the opportunity to dive in and bring stories that are important to a North Jutland city or area.
All of this is in line with the new direction for the North Jutland Media House, where the ambition is to offer media that complement each other.
The same naturally applies to Det Nord Jutland Media House’s business media Vigeur, which is aimed at North Jutland decision makers. And Seriesport.nu, which covers North Jutland league football very closely. Not to mention ANR, where Skovmand and Camilla are the new host couple to ensure the best start to the morning for the people of North Jutland.
