The A9 motorway was cut for almost an hour this Monday, December 26 near Béziers in the direction of Spain. One lane remains condemned, which causes several kilometers of traffic jams.
Since 3 p.m. this Monday, it’s been a mess on the A9. The highway was completely cut off at Béziers following a traffic accident involving several vehicles.
Traffic was totally interrupted following entry n°36 in the direction of Spain for almost an hour. Exits and entries on the A9, which were once compulsory at Béziers west (n° 36), are still strongly recommended.

According to Vinci Autoroute, it was the cargo of a heavy truck transporting wood that spilled onto the highway, causing an accident involving seven vehicles in addition to the truck.
If around 4:15 p.m., traffic was reopened on two of the three lanes of the highway, traffic remains very complicated in the sector, where there are several kilometers of traffic jams.
