The first benchmarks relating to the chip A17 Prowhich feeds the iPhones 15 Pro/15 Pro Max — now, the test results AnTuTu e GFXBench 5.0 were also revealed.
As expected, the new SoCSystem on a chipor system on a chip.”>1 surpassed its predecessor in terms of CPU capacityCentral processing unitor central processing unit.”>2and GPUGraphics processing unitor graphics processing unit.”>3memory and interface.
More precisely, the iPhone 15 Pro Max scored 1,641,883 points in the AnTuTu test, which outperforms all previous iPhone models. When it comes to the overall ranking, however, the model comes in third — behind the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro (1,733,703 points) and the iQOO 11S (1,645,393 points), respectively.
In one of the tests benchmark GFXBench 5.0 — which counts the number of frames rendered by the device in graphics-intensive tasks — the A17 Pro also surpassed the performance of its predecessor with an average rendering of 7,414 frames (regarding 115.3 frames per second), a value greater than the 6,969 frames (108.4fps) of the A16 Bionic chip.
As always, it remains to be seen whether these higher scores will actually translate into notable improvements in the real/practical performance of the new devices.
