One person was killed and another was critically injured. The A1 direction Hamburg was completely blocked. Traffic was already backed up for twelve kilometers from Brinkum on Thursday morning. A detour via the U37 has been set up. The traffic jam also causes long sheet metal avalanches within the city of Bremen. It is therefore requested not to dodge through the city area if possible.
The clearance work is ongoing, according to initial estimates, the A1 closure will last until the evening hours.
