An MGB fighter, the late Sgt Shira Chaya Soslik, was murdered in a shooting attack at the central station in Be’er Sheva today (Sunday). Ten other young men were injured to varying degrees – including two in serious condition, four in moderate condition and two in light condition.
Preliminary details indicate that the terrorist arrived by bus at the station armed, entered McDonald’s and shot at civilians. Fighters who were there fired at the terrorist and killed him. The suspicion that there was two-sided shooting by members of the security forces was investigated.

Eight wounded from the shooting attack in Be’er Sheva arrived at Soroka Hospital. Two of the injured are in serious condition, four young men and women are moderately injured. Five others were slightly injured by broken glass and bombs. Three panicked and were also evacuated.
The commander of the southern district of the police, Chief Amir Cohen, arrived at the scene of the incident and is currently assessing the situation there. Many forces were mobilized, including police officers, YSM fighters, MGB and volunteers. They searched the area and set up traffic barriers.

The initial investigation revealed that the terrorist is an Israeli resident of the Bedouin diaspora in the Negev. His cousin carried out an attack in 2015. Many forces are conducting searches for additional suspects, among other things to rule out the suspicion of placing an explosive device.
The Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir also arrived at the scene and made a statement to the media: “We see in this story that again and again a family member and a family member – to pass the law of deporting families of terrorists – is what needs to be done.”

“My responsibility is that I strengthen the police, that I strengthen the teams of the settlements,” answered Ben Gvir when asked at the scene how he works to prevent murderous attacks like the one that happened. “Those who do not understand that we are at war, do not understand anything.”
The government went against the statements of Minister Ben Gabir, a member of the decision-making table. A senior official in the government harshly attacked and said that “Ben Gabir is busy with Tiktok likes instead of taking care of the stockpiles of weapons in the Bedouin sector, talk like sand.”
