The Mendoza police detained in the last hours a 17-year-old teenager for having stolen a motorcycle and hide her in her house. What is unprecedented about the fact is that it was denounced by his own grandmother.
The event took place on Tuesday inside the Cementista neighborhood, in Las Heras. It all started when the boy stole a 150cc motorcycle from a nearby house.
The authorities were alerted to the crime as a result of a call to 911. On the other end of the line, a woman assured that her grandson had arrived at her house with a motorcycle “dubious provenance”, implying that it was possibly stolen.
Immediately, the police officers from the Eduardo Sánchez de Las Heras Sub-Commission Station went to the place and found the vehicle.
When requisitioning its data, They established that the motorcycle had been stolen hours before, for which reason it had a kidnapping order.
When the troops confirmed the origin of the vehicle, they notified the Fiscal Office 5. From the judicial unit they ordered the vehicle to be seized and the offender apprehended.
