This Tuesday in Got Talent Argentina, a young man paid tribute to those who fell in the Falkland Islands war with a contemporary dance choreography and received a standing ovation from the audience. The jury was moved to tears by Emanuel Carrizo’s performance and thanked him for his presentation.

“I am going to represent a soldier who never returned in tribute to all those who died in the war. Through dance I want to show the suffering they had there and at the same time be able to make malvinism”, explained the dancer from Caleta Olivia, Patagonia.

In front of the jury, the artist said that he did a lot of research to put together the choreography and do it “with the greatest of respect” and that he had the joy of speaking with almost 15 veterans and ex-combatants of the war that broke out on April 2, 1982 between Argentina and the United Kingdom.

“You are evoking a piece of history, a very big wound, a very important value and our pride in continuing to say, following so much pain, saying and knowing that the Malvinas are Argentine. What you are bringing is very strong, it seems very emotional to me and I thank you in advance,” exclaimed Abel Pintos.

The emotion of the jury following Emanuel Carrizo’s dance

After Emanuel’s emotional audition with the song The lost letter by Soledad Pastorutti, the jury and the audience stood up to applaud him. In the midst of everyone’s applause and tears, the dancer thanked the gesture and seemed very excited. “I do it with a lot of passion and a lot of respect,” he exclaimed.

Emir Abdul praised him and assured him that he wants to continue watching him dance throughout the competition. For his part, La Joaqui said that he did not have words to describe his presentation because they would not be enough to show everything he made her feel.

“The challenge that you are going to have ahead of you if you continue is very great because you touched on a very sensitive topic. It is a double-edged sword and that also speaks of your bravery. That’s part of the art. I congratulate you, it was exciting,” added Abel Pintos.

Flor Peña praised his expressive ability and considered him “much more than a dancer.” Towards the end of the returns, the four specialists gave him a “yes” that allowed him to continue to the next round.
