“We share this joy, he is in the arms of his family,” adds the commander of the citizen security body in the Colombian capital.

end of suffering

The relatives and friends of Juan Andrés lived through three days of pain, sadness and many calls, who last Thursday left the Javeriana University, where he studies civil engineering, around 9:30 pm; that was the last time anything was heard from him.

“I spoke with him the last time that Thursday, April 21 at 6:20 pm, he assured me that he had some academic commitments pending and then he would go home in Transmilenio. In the security videos we see that he leaves the university, but he never came home, “said the young man’s father, Nelson López.

The man, as expected, showed the suffering on his face as he recounted the details of his despair. For him, it was an abnormal situation that his son disappeared, because it was even very rare for him to remain incommunicado from his family, with whom he has a good relationship.

“On Thursday, April 21, we saw him for the last time with the cameras of the Javeriana University, he had a technical exit, he entered the engineering library, he completed what he had to do and left for the house, but he never arrived,” said the desperate father.

He also stated that, in the midst of uncertainty, bad thoughts began to arrive. Thinking the worst was a fact that became more and more frequent in her head.

“Suddenly he was attacked with some substance, because he leaves the normal university, he did not used to leave the house without notifying (…) the cell phone goes to voice mail, he said he was preparing a support the next day,” he added, hours before the Police, in the middle of their search, found the mobile device, along with his suitcase and a helmet that the young man uses for his university classes.

When contacting the Police regarding the details of the disappearance of Juan Andrés, they indicated that in the first place the hypothesis that the young man was scopolated is being handled, but that toxicology tests are awaited to confirm or disprove this theory.
