An 18-year-old young man, belonging to the Traveler community, was arrested Friday evening between 5 and 6 p.m., we learned Monday from the Walloon Brabant prosecutor’s office. The individual has no known domicile in Belgium.
He is accused of having participated in a series of burglaries in Walloon Brabant as well as in other judicial districts.
The young suspect is in confession of the facts which are reproached to him, including one perpetrated in Waterloo and a second in Braine-l’Alleud, the night of New Year’s Eve.
The young man was, on Saturday, placed under arrest warrant and imprisoned. The council chamber will meet this week to decide on the possible release of the person concerned.
