ECONOMY. It is time to take stock for the general director of Ressourcerie des frontières, Julie Potvin, who took office a little over a year ago.

Some partnerships were concluded during this period. The first is one with a cultural flavor. With the aim of promoting the revaluation of objects and transforming them into works of art, the organization has partnered with various groups, such as Solidart, by providing them with materials that are not very recyclable, but very useful to give free rein to the creativity of the artists who frequent the place. It is also possible to see different creations made by recycling artist Annie Favreau in the Cutting Street store.

La Ressourcerie also donated 95 bicycles to the Cyclo Nord-Sud organization last November. “We already give a second chance by reusing a lot of materials, but donating them is like giving a third chance, in addition to making people happy,” underlines general director Julie Potvin.

Cyclo Nord-Sud collects and recycles unused bicycles in the province in order to refurbish them and distribute them to families in need, regardless of their location on the planet.

La Ressourcerie also held a first virtual auction at the end of last year. Although the organization has been silent on the project, it will be back in 2024.

The private collection of the Ressourcerie will be available to the general public, online. The amounts raised will be used to continue the mission and finance activities. The dates of the next auctions will be revealed a little later.
