A World Cup player is the new reinforcement of Atlético Nacional

A player with experience and great scrolls arrived at Nacional: central defender Cristian Zapata.

The player who was born in Padilla, Cauca, 36 years ago, rreturns to Colombian soccer from Argentine football. At the moment he has a one-year contract with the purslane club.

In his most recent stage abroad, Zapata competed in the Saint Lawrence from Argentina.

After making his professional debut at Deportivo Cali in 2004, the defender, who played with the Colombia selection los Brazil-2014 and Russia-2018 World Cupsrepresented the clubs Udinese (2005-2011), Villarreal (2011-2012), Milan (2012-2019), Genoa (2019-2021) and San Lorenzo (2021-2022).

In Italian soccer he reached the title of the Super Cup of that country, with Milan, in 2016, the year in which he was also included in the ideal eleven of the Copa América in the United States.

With the absolute Colombian National Team he was called up between 2007 and 2019.

This is the third reinforcement that Nacional announces for the next season. In recent days they announced the arrival of the Brazilian striker Francisco Da Costa and center back Juan Felipe Aguirre.

Nacional will compete in 2023 in the Copa Libertadores.
