Worker at the DPJ, then public relations officer in youth centers, Jocelyne Boudreault is living her last moments.
A month ago, she learned that she was suffering from a terminal illness. “It was lung cancer with brain metastases,” she mentioned in an interview with TVA Nouvelles.
His condition had started to deteriorate a few weeks ago. She asked for sick leave because she was very tired and had a heart attack. The diagnosis came later.
“I always had the feeling that I wouldn’t live to be old. It’s strange, isn’t it?” she said.
Thanks to her, TVA Nouvelles was able to broadcast numerous reports on young children in need, mainly in youth centers during the holiday season. She managed to convince her superiors to open the doors to journalists.
And even if life seems to be hounding her, Ms. Boudreault will get married on September 24, before her departure. She is ready for this moment.
“I’m not going to stretch the sauce. I don’t want to put my family through this. […] I really had a good life. I had two fantastic children. I had a great career. I have a fantastic circle of friends”, she adds, serenely.

Ms. Boudreault has worked most of her career behind the scenes, but her colleagues are unanimous: she has done a great deal for children and teenagers who are less pampered than others.
“For 20 years, the cause has stuck to his body. And she gave everything, ”describes one of Jocelyne’s ex-colleagues, Jean-Nicholas Aubé.
Throughout her career, she has made children her priority, and she will continue to do so.
“What I would ask: help the responders by supporting the foundation. Help them help our most vulnerable children and young people.”
