At noon yesterday, an industrial accident was reported in warehouses 2-3 belonging to a well-known company with extensive experience in the transformation of PET and HDPE plastic resins, located on G Street, in the San Vicente II Industrial Zone, Los Tacariguas Parish, Girardot municipality, in the state of Aragua, in which a 45-year-old worker died.

The victim, an electrician by profession, was identified as Saturno José Rodríguez Velásquez, who died following receiving a strong electric shock when he was replacing a crossbar on a line on one of the electric poles of the aforementioned company.

Unofficially, it was learned that once Saturno José’s body received the strong shock, he fell to the ground without vital signs. The incident was quickly reported by Vicente Marchena, Security Director of the aforementioned company, to the Municipal Delegation of the Cicpc Caña de Azúcar.

The detective commission traveled to the company’s warehouses to carry out the necessary tests and to remove the body, which was later taken to the morgue of the National Service of Forensic Medicine and Sciences (Senamecf) for the required autopsy and delivery to the family.
