A woman was the eighth victim of dengue in Tucumán

The deceased was a native of Concepción. She had arrived at the hospital in a serious state of health.

A woman from Concepción became the eighth victim of dengue in Tucumán, where more than 13,000 cases have been registered, according to official figures.

According to what was reported, the patient was admitted to the Regional Hospital of Concepción in serious condition. Despite the resuscitation maneuvers performed by the doctors, the woman lost her life.

Dengue serology analyzes were sent to a private laboratory. This followingnoon it was confirmed that the result was positive for dengue, sources told LA GACETA.

The Minister of Health of the Province, Luis Medina Ruiz, had commented that more than 13,000 cases of dengue were registered in Tucumán: “we are adding to the accumulated since the epidemic began. There are between 2,500 and 3,000 active patients. All the others are discharged.”

Between Friday and Saturday, another three deaths were recorded from the disease transmitted by Aedes aegypti. The deceased were between 24 and 28 years old.
