A 51-year-old woman was murdered this Monday night in a Maipú house and her partner, a man of Chilean nationality and the same age, was arrested for the incident. The victim was identified as Sonia Beatriz Garberoglio Larraín and would have died following receiving a bottle on the head.
Police information maintains that the alleged perpetrator of the femicide, Juan Carlos Romeroa pharmacist by profession, was made available to Justice when the first police officers arrived on the scene.
The authorities became aware of the fact minutes before 10 p.m., when a call to 911 came in reporting a family conflict in the town of Gutiérrez.
The first policemen who arrived at the scene of the incident spoke with a daughter of the victim, Pamela, who said that received a phone call from his father where he told her that he had had an argument with his mother and that he had hit her.
The witness indicated that she reached the property and entered the kitchen, where she found her mother lying on the floor. Garberoglio was covered in blood and with obvious head injuries.
For his part, Romero also had some injuries to the forehead, mouth and sole of the foot.so the police took him to the Central hospital in a mobility.
Other witnesses also spoke with the uniformed officers and described that the couple had been in a fight in which they both attacked each other with bottles.
Once the Justice was intervened, it emerged that Romero had a complaint for gender violence dated November 27, 2017. Due to this, the Homicide Prosecutor Unit began to intervene, which is on duty the prosecutor of Carlos Torres.
