A woman terrorized by bank transfers is surprised: there is no way she can block the incoming money | Business

“Money is periodically transferred to my SEB bank account not according to the purpose of payment, a person is trying to contact me through the purpose of the transfer. I contacted the bank to solve this problem, based on the fact that I would have no way to explain to the State Tax Inspectorate (VMI) where the income comes from. The answer of the bank representative is as follows: close the bank account or contact the service provider personally, in this case Revolut, with a request to block the sender,” Lina wrote.

They are 15min her boyfriend, who communicated with them, said that the sender is known to them, but they do not ask for any money from him, they do not want to communicate, and they consider the above-mentioned messages for the purpose of remittances as harassment.

“Personal messages, a man writes to a woman. Harassment. Messages such as “I miss you”, “Excuse me”, offer to meet. This is absurd. They [bankas] saw those messages, read them and claims that they still can’t help,” the interviewer said.

The man said that the amounts received are very diverse – they can be one euro each, and sometimes reach hundreds of euros. Remittances are carried out periodically, this situation continues since November.

What’s more, the couple fears that such remittances may attract the attention of the authorities. It has been repeatedly written in the media that suspicious remittances are reviewed by the banks themselvesand since sometimes those amounts are not symbolic, they can also draw the attention of, for example, the tax inspectorate.

Even taking into account the fact that the couple does not expect or want money from the mentioned person, the unpleasant content of the messages written in the remittance destination field cannot in any way correspond to the purpose of the payment, argues the man.

“Personal messages are written through the payment destination. We appealed to the bank to prevent this, because the money is not coming for its intended purpose. We will have nothing to explain to the tax office. We would like them to explain to us – why do I have to close the payment account, if the money does not reach me according to the payment purpose?”, the interviewer asked rhetorically.

He said the couple also went to the police, but the officers also suggested they go to the bank.
