A woman and her daughter are in serious health following the woman decided to jump from a building. The event occurred in Asturias, Spain.
Despite falling from a height of five stories, the woman and the girl survived the fall and are hospitalized. Both with reserved prognosis.
The father of the minor, with a history of gender violence, had recently recovered the visitation regime, which would have triggered the woman’s reaction, local police reported. The investigations indicate that the situation of conflict in the family was the cause that determined the event.
They also reported that the girl’s maternal grandfather and the father had previously had an incident and there was a restraining order between them. However, the man went to look for his father’s ex-son-in-law and they would have argued at home.
Moments before the fall, according to witnesses, the girl yelled: “Mom, don’t throw me.” Fortunately, the little girl survived thanks to the fact that she fell on a parked car that cushioned the impact.
The girl remains hospitalized in the Avilés Hospital, with several fractures. The doctors indicated that her emotional and psychological state might be affected by the trauma she has suffered.
The mother is admitted to the Central University Hospital of Asturias (HUCA), with a reserved prognosis.
