The American Megan Condrey decided to carry out an experiment and put the hamburger in a cupboard, but she did not remember it until a month ago, when she was putting the Christmas decorations in order.
Megan Condrey, a woman from Washington DC, bought two cheeseburgers and fries at a McDonald’s in November 2017 and following eating one, she left the other in the back of her car for later, but forgot regarding it. Several days later, she found it and noted that it did not show any signs of rot, so she decided to conduct an experiment to see how long it might last, she reports. The Mirror.
The woman wrote the date of purchase on the package and put it away in a cupboard. He didn’t remember her until a month ago, when he ran into her by chance while tidying up the Christmas decorations at her house. Opening the package, she was shocked to see that, more than four years later, the burger had turned rock-hard, but looked exactly the same as the day she bought it and hadn’t started to rot yet.
Both the buns and the ground meat, supposedly beef, and the cheese remained apparently intact and without signs of mold.
It’s worth remembering that McDonald’s claims that it only uses 100% preservative-free beef in its burgers.
After the discovery, the woman vowed never to eat McDonald’s once more and decided to give up fast food altogether in an attempt to lose weight.
